About Me

ABOUT ME

As a passionate advocate for mental wellness, I’ve always been driven to celebrate the strengths and resilience of those around me. With 20 years of experience as a teacher, internationally and in Canada, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that mental health support can have on individuals and communities.

My time living and teaching on a First Nations reservation in Northern Canada profoundly shaped my understanding of the complex mental health needs that exist in many communities. This experience sparked a desire to pursue a second Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, which enabled me to provide more comprehensive support to those I worked with.

Throughout my training, I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These approaches have equipped me to support clients in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including trauma and PTSD.

On a personal note, I’m deeply passionate about the intersection of mental wellness and holistic practices. As an avid yogi and outdoor enthusiast, I believe that cultivating a connection with nature and our own bodies is essential for fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being.

I’m honoured to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and I’m committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space for exploration, growth, and healing.
